Brick Driveways
Brick driveways make homes stand out, using a material that is both traditional, and unusual today. This historic building material has been overshadowed by the recent wave of concrete interlocking pavers, but brick has qualities that these newer pavers cannot match. Foremost is color: no concrete product can match the richness, vibrancy, or range of colors that can be found in fired-clay bricks. Additionally, McNear offers a broad range of traditional aesthetic styles of brick: you can choose between the handmade textures of our Sandmold Series, or the reclaimed look of our Old California Series, or the clean, modern appearance of our Commercial Series. Whether you have a Tuscan villa, Craftsman cottage, or Mid-Century Modern home, McNear has the perfect brick paver for you.
Clay brick driveways can be installed in the same mortarless manner, by the same people, using the same equipment, who currently install concrete interlocking pavers.
Alternatively, brick driveways can be installed with mortar joints. This produces a different look, and requires a concrete foundation beneath the bricks. With this method, you have the option of using our thinner Split bricks.
